Besties of Oz Creation Shadow Box Diorama Watercoloring
Hello friends! It's me Venus. Thanks for dropping by Sisters Craft Cafe.
I have something extra special project today.
I never thought I could make a shadow box diorama from scratch!
But I did, and I'm so happy. It doesn't look like that the box was a milk formula (my baby's) before!
The main feature of this shadow box diorama is a Besties of Oz digi stamp. I love her eyes!
I printed the stamp on watercolor paper, and painted the image with
rangers distress stains and glimmer mists. I just figured out the coloring technique and I love the effect.
The shadow box banner was printed and I just hand cut the wavy banner shape.
(too lazy to use a die cutting machine!)
I used several dies and punchers to create the paper embellishments.
The shadow box frame was created using a 12x12 chipboard, cut out the hole piece by hand.
I just drew the ornate square shape by freehand, then started gluing pieces of scrap paper to create a decoupage; then I painted it with white poster paint.
Once dry, I stamped the whole thing using a Hero Arts stamp.
The house was a die cut shape by Sizzix pop up house.
The roof was made of foam, each tile was cut by hand.
The base of the house was a recycled spool, topped with a die cut shape from Sizzix Cupcake box.
Oh I love how this house turned out. Such a pretty piece of decor for my craft room.
Hope you liked my project.
